Hello everyone!

Personally, I don't do sound design yet (I know, I know... but eventually, I will learn this trade, because it's fascinating and fun like hell :D), so there could be multiple occasions I'd need someone to recommend for paid or free jobs. You know how it is, people ask me if I do sound design - well, I don't, so then they ask me if I know someone who does.

I'm talking about sfx for games (let's say for a fantasy game) and film and not a re-edit-existing-sfx-library guy, but a man who is properly equiped and skilled to create full range of quality sounds from scratch.

I'm sure I'm not the only guy, who could use some connections with pro sound designers on these full of talented audio experts forums, so if you are one, please say hello here and maybe post your demo reel. It may not be stricte a job offer today, but who knows, maybe someday it will become one :)

Cheers!

Hey Pietro,

I have produced sound effects for a few games (there are examples on my website) (http://www.soundportfolio.com).

I don't fit your requirements in that for recorded sounds I source sounds from various sources, generally libraries and online collections of freeware / CC sounds. For any sci-fi stuff I will use a variety of soft synths and effects to create sounds from scratch.

I am considering starting to record my own stuff, especially ambience, because I hear lots of interesting sounds all the time. Though I don't want to spread myself too thinly either, I would prefer to focus on the music aspect of projects if I can.
Anyway even though I don't record my own stuff, if you know of any lesser jobs that could use a cheap but willing sound design handyman, let me know! :)

Hi, Pietor,

I may not quite qualify for your definition of a sound designer since my work is
still 80% sound library and 20% original recording.

I have contributed over 100 original sfx recording to:

Ultrashock Audio Essentials, v2, SFX FOLEY PACK
found on: http://ultrashock.com/shop/

In the past I've reocrded ambients, traffic, gunshots, machines, cars, animals and
various other subjects.

I have my own mobile recording rig set up that I use to do location recording as well as a foley room set up in my house to do original recordings.

please look at my credits at

thanks for your time,
Michael

I've seen how they did SFX recording for King Kong movie but I can't remember the site where you can stream or download video clip. It was very impressive and lots of fun.
