Hey i have a question about the kompakt instrument witch thoose like myself that donīt have kontakt use. I have a anyoing problem that i cant get past. I would like to set a default or to make a preset or something.
This is the way it is now. Every sample gets routed to output 1-2. If i want to change that to another output that works of course. But i want each sample to have its own output by default.
1. 1-2
2. 3-4
3. 5-6
4. 7-8
5. 9-10
6. 11-12
7. 13-14
8. 15-16
You get the picture :)
Ive tryd to save a empty preset whith only the outputs changed but it does not seam to work.
Does anyone have this covered?

If you load the same instruments most of the time, you can set up the eight slots the way you like 'em (an instrument in each slot, with separate audio outs for each slot) and then save the setup as a "multi". I'm not in front of my DAW now, but that might work.
I don't think you can set up a Multi with blank slots.
Don't know what sequencer you use, but I use SONAR and I can create a template in SONAR, open an instance of Kompakt, change the audio outs for each slot and then save the whole project as a SONAR template. This might work for you as well.

Hmm yeah a template should work... im not sure though. Pretty much every thing ive tryd has not worked. But i guess a template is the most sure thing. It would save some time to just set the kompakt instrument to one stereo output per instrument :(
I think i will give NI a call and tell them to fix this ASAP :)
The great thing about this way of working is that when you freeze the vsti(in cubase) each output becomes a wav file. So if you name each output on the vsti, you can still change the levels of each instrument after you have freezed it. Plus you can just import the files directly into you mix session.
Witch i think saves alot of time. Because if there is one thing that really puts me of when making music it is spending time doing stuff like bouncing tracks and setting outputs.
Thanx anyways dudes, if i find a way i will let you know :)
