Hi everybody !

First of all, sorry if my english is not perfect.

My name is Grégoire, Greg to be short:p
I write from France, near Paris.
I'm a modest musician, playing and composing with my beloved korg m3-73 workstation.
I'm a novice in terms of CAM but very interested by VSTi's, more and more indispensable for composing.

I plan soon to buy a orchestral bundle from EW/QL like EWQLSO gold bundle or Complete Composers Collection, really enchanted by sound quality !!
However I must before upgrade my 2nd computer, actually not powerfull enough to support heavy VSTi's.

I decided to register on this forum to gather some informations on this "virtual music world" :)

Cheers !
Greg

Hey Greg:

Welcome! you are going to be so satisfied with your purchase. i have been using EWQLSO for a while. 1st with silver, then gold, and now platinum. As a composer you will find it gives you a beautiful sound and inspiring quality.

Congratulations!

* note - If you are not already familiar with orchestral instrument ranges, you might want to research the ranges of the instruments of the orchestra.

Take care and Congrats again.

Thanks a lot for welcome Musique noir !!:)

You're right (if I really understood what you mean)
Actually with my M3, i try to organize tracks of my sequencer to have a well-rendered and realistic orchestral sound but indeed i'm not familiar with instrument ranges.
And I guess when I'll have purshased EWQLSO, it will be very difficult for me to choose good sets of instruments to play together.

Fortunately I don't have a bad ear, but I'm not a conductor:p not a professionnal musician either.

But I hope with practice, habit will come (u say that in english ?^^)

Before purshase, I must also understand all those histories of PLAY versions, ilok etc....

Cheers

Greg
