Hi, this is the last collaboration with Cécile Marpeau (Cecgwen) with EWQLSO Silver (Piano and Cello solo).Cécgwen make lyrics and text in french.Thank you Cécile for your stuff!

Also, this is a demo of EWQLSO Silver piano because i think for it's impressive for the price.I do a little more reverb and a little medium/bass with EQ in Kompakt player.

"Sous la lune"

http://lionel.bansept.club.fr/divers/souslalune.jpg

En dansant sous la lune
Caressée par la brume
Frôlée par le vent,
En dansant solitaire
La beauté éphémère
De la nuit des temps
Elle vint comme un rêve
Poser sur mon cœur
Un secret d’une infinie douceur

En dansant sous la lune
Au bord de la lagune
Et m’ensorcelant
Elle vint comme un rêve
Apaiser mon cœur
D’un secret d’une infinie douceur*:
«*Crois moi
Un autre monde attend
Que tu sois
La première à faire ce pas-là
Là bas…
C’est….

Comme un jour qui se lève
S’éloignant de la grève,
Elle dit en disparaissant*:
Va au bout de tes rêves
Puise au fond de toi
Chaque jour le bonheur d’être toi

Absolutely stunning. Bravo, bravo!

The lyrics are beautiful, so is the singing, and so is the music. Wow.

I agree, Cécile's voice could use a bit more room.

Hi,

Very nice piece. My only (hopefully constructive) comment is that the start is pretty abrupt. Perhaps a little bit of an instrumental intro before bringing in the voice?

Always a pleasure to listen to your stuff,

Dave

Very lovely Neil! Cécile's voice is beatiful as always. I do agree with those who said the vocal is a bit too dry. Some reverb and maybe set the vocal back in the mix a little would help. The composition is great!

En tant que toujours, c'est une musique plus grande de Neil et de Cécile ! J'aime toujours entendre le chant en français, il est beau !

Tout le meilleur !

Wow wow...
You are all so nice.
Thank you for yours comments (Maestro Laurent, it's a honnor!).

I don't want more reverb because i want feel more voice, more sensibilty. But why not.

Dave>
Yes, maybe a little intro with breath for example.

Every day, EWQLSO is surprising...I haven't many time but i know i have a long time to learn all sounds.

All the best.

Not perfectly, but then again I don't speak french. :D

After listening a few more times I'm sure I could recall them - I'm a singer so by nature that kinda stuff will stick. ;)

Cécile et Neil, cest magnifique! I don't think I've heard a bad track yet from you folk. :)

Lovely lyrics as far as my schoolboy french, of 45yrs past, allows me to judge. Did you double track yourself electronically or did you sing the harmony separately?

I've always enjoyed listening to French artistes although haven't heard any in some time.

I was a great fan of Francoise Hardy (born one year before me) and later Mireille Mathieu (born one year after me I now note- thanks Internet, for these pieces of information )

My first ever 7" single was the English version of "Only Friends" by Francoise Hardy, which I still have. I was only 18 or 19 at the time and I was definitely in love with her! I'm sure the sentimental lyrics were aimed directly at me. :o I can still recite most of the lyrics....how sad is that? I bought my first album in the same year cunningly named 'The Rolling Stones'....great days. Apologies for the ramblings! :o

Only friends
(Ton meilleur ami)

Text: Miller
Musik: Françoise Hardy, Roger Samyn
1964

if we are only friends
why do you kiss me like you do
if we are only friends
why do you hold me all night through
do the words "I love you"
never come to your mind
don't you know I love you
or is love really blind

and every time we dance
when there is starlight up above
I wonder if by chance
you will discover this is love
could we be as happy
as we both seem to be
could we be so happy
for the whole world to see if we are only friends

all evening in your arms you hold me
till suddenly it's time to part
I wonder why you always hold me
so close to your heart

if we are only friends
why don't you dance with someone new
and when the party ends
why do I always leave with you
there's a happy ending
but on you that depends
and until you tell me
I can only say
we're just very good friends
we are only good friends
we're still very good friends
French is such a lovely language for singing. The french accent is tres sexy!

I do believe that Cecile may be my new French singing star :)

Keep 'em coming.

I love it! The lyric is beautifully well written. The voice of Cecgwen is awesome, a crystal who transforms the light in rainbow. The recording is perfect to me and reminds me Enya works. I would like to hear a climax in the middle but it’s OK like this.

Bravo Neil et Cécile, vous faites du bon travail ensemble. Votre commune sensibilité permet une uniformité donnant l'impression d'être le travail d'une seule personne.

Je vous souhaite bien du succès,

Bernard
