Hello to all forum people. I am Kiskadee, yes I know . . . a strange sounding name . . . It is another name for the Caribbean yellow bird. I am a producer, singer, songwriter, performer. I work in music full time. In the summers I play steel drums for events and weddings etc, and in the winter I concentrate more on studio production and recording. Also do steeldrum workshops for business. I am partially sighted, which means that I cannot see the screen in enough detail to be able to read it but I do have a screen reading software called JAWS which is excellent. The Caketalking scripts make Sonar virtually fully accessible for me. I run Sonar 6 Producer, have a Soundcraft ghost and various mics and effects units. Editing in software is great, but mixing on hardware is superb. Love to feel the eq knobs on the ghost. I do occasionally use an engineer which frees me up to do more production work.

Although I have worked with a few big people in the industry, nothing ever came from it. After years of hoping make it as a producer and artist, I have freed myself from all the "old world" music people and now find myself surrounded by genuine artists with great talent. I am the founder of a forward thinking music company called Ethical Music (www.ethicalmusic.com) and will be doing my part to bring ethics into an otherwise corrupt industry. HAve a look at the blog www.minor2major.co.uk/blog.

A friend recommended the Eastwest bosendorfer 290. Though still configuring it, I am impressed so far by what I hear. Am getting a fully weighted midi keyboad today so it feels more like a piano.

My solo site is www.kiskadee.net
