Hi all,
Thoguht this would be a good place to introduce myself. I'm from the UK, although recently moved to New Zealand - which I can thoroughly recommend - although not if you like your music music software to arrive quick smart, if you know what I mean. Niche software availability problems aside, it's an awesome place to live.
I've been producing music in some form for about 15 years (although back then it was with a 486 DX and Fast tracker II). Ahhh - they don't make software like they used to. Thankfully.
I do commercial work every so often (dial 511 in the US, and you'll most likely hear a 40 seconds of my handywork - over, and over and over...) but have been concentrating on starting up an online fine art business recently. Now it's up and running I'm hopefully going to get back into producing a little more.
On the music side of things, I recently had a zendrum built for me - and I can tell you it is probably the single coolest thing I have ever owned. Apart from that little plastic sound-effect maker I had when I was five with the machine guns sounds and stuff. Anyway hook it up to SD2 and seriously, you can forget about mealtimes. Or sleeping. I also found out it's the 1000th ZD ever made, which is a nice touch.
So yeah, there it is. I'll be putting up a link to my music production website when it's ready. In the mean time, if you're in the market for a limited edition photographic artwork (hey, you could be), check out the gallery: www.dreamline.co.nz - and if you notice any spelling mistakes or anything else dumb, I'll be forever indebted to you if you point them out.
Good to meet you all. Cheers,
Adam
