Hi
Has East West (or any super generous person on here) generated a Finale "patch" or preset/ template for the human playback preferences within Finale so that human playback and other midi controller data is sent to EWQLS properly.
ie. so keyswitches and things like that are generated from playback (creating a more natural sounding score...)
Does this make sense?
Finale Human playback prefs are set to garritan settings now so I have to go and reprogram it all...I imagined east west might provide this file so their products are easier to use within finale
Thanks

I'll give this a bump, cause I would like to know too. EWQLSO is actually great in finale, but it would be a lot better if it worked with human playback (i.e. dynamics!).

I gave up on finale and went back to scoring in cubase...its actually quite good!

Here's the news: Finale is a notation software, not a sequencer. Cubase is a sequencer, not a notation software.

Didn't say it was. I like having good playback (for concert music), and I'm working on understading sequencers better (for scoring). Takes time for some of us newbies, but I understand the difference between basics... I'm sure most of us do.

there are some folks doing pretty amazing things with the playback of finale, sibelius and Notion, Although my finale chops make it definately a notation program i dont discount that there are people out there that can make it sound as good as your cubase sequence ;-)

Anything sounds better than my Cubase sequences since Cubase is not my sequencer. :D
No doubt, Finale givers good results with sample libraries, but it has very limited midi editing capabilities, not to speak the lack of audio. But film scoring is not its purpose, and it only provides midi playing for rough checking. Finale really is "only" a fabulous notation program (I am a long time heavy user).
