XP Pro or Vista 64-bit?

Is there any compelling reason to choose either XP Pro 64-bit or Vista 64-bit over the other if my computer is set up primarily for music production purposes, e.g., MIDI and virtual instrument sample streaming?

The main - your hardware and software compatibility.

Some don't work with Vista yet, some won't work with XP x64 in short time.
