View Full Version : Hello from Nantucket

I am a guitar player and music teacher on the island of Nantucket. Last spring I scored a documentary film a friend of mine did about Doctors Without Borders in Guatemala and it really got me going. I recently ordered the orchestra Pro Gold bundle and am getting the Symphonic Choirs with the terrific twofer deal. I'm quite excited about writing for voices and strings and expanding my horizons a little. I look forward to working with a bigger box of tools than just a nylon stringed guitar and ProTools 7.4.
I'm sure to have lots of goofy newbie questions so have mercy on an old guitar player! My friend's documentary (with my credit for original score) was just selected by the Jackson Hole Film Festival. An extremely modest success, I know but I'm excited and want to take things to the next level.

Nantucket is a small island 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. It was a huge whaling center in the early 19th century and features prominently in the opening part of Moby Dick.
It also features prominently in many a filthy limerick. (ie. there was a man from Nantucket,
who etc. etc. etc.)
