Hi.

I've bought EWQLSO Gold edition and I just love it. But sometimes I would like to remove/turn off the release samples to shape the sound with another reverb or to conserve cpu and ram.
Since Kompakt doesn't work very well in my rig I use Kontakt to load EWQLSO programs. So, the release samples are placed as underlying zones in the mapping editor in Kontakt. How can I turn these off? How can I select just underlying zones in Kontakt?
Thanks.

Best regards, Stig-R.E.

Hi PT Lover,

If your useing Kontakt-2 the are a couple of things you can do.

After you open up the instrument with the Wrench, click on "Group Editor". There you will find the different groups that are part of the instrument. In Gold, most of the Release Samples are in there own group and usualy have "rel" somewhere in the name. If not, you can hold a note down with the K2 Keyboard, for a second or so, and when you release the note the "rel" sample group(s) turn yellow. Once you have isolated the "rel" group(s) you can do a few different things.

First, make sure the RED "Edit All Groups" is turned off and then select a "rel" group (it will light up light blue). Also make sure no other groups are checked in the little boxes.

Now you have a couple of choices, you can left click on "Edit" and scroll down to "Delete Selected Groups" and simply delete that group.

the other thing you can do is scroll down to the "Amplifier" and simply turn that group's Volume either down or completely off.

You can also set up Key Switches to turn the "rel" samples on and off in your midi program or even give them thier own volume control. By setting up Key Switches there are a lot of neat things you can do. I don't have time right now to go into detail but maybe later today I can get back.
