John Kennedy here and I'd like to say hello!!:) Being fairly new to all of this EASTWEST kind of files thing, I have purchased several items and so I'm going to give this all a try. I play mostly guitar and keyboards, but when it comes to all the software stuff, well I have my own un-orthodox way of doing things, but the end result seems to be O.K. I hope to learn more in here, but I have a long way to go as far as learning how to properly use software. I play around with it and see what works best for me and that's it. I move everything through my GNX4 guitar processor and store it on a compact flash card, then I mix everything in ACID PRO 2 and then it is all mastered in Sound Forge with all my presets and the like. It seems to work alright but I'm sure there are many lessons to be learned in here. I have visited many of your sites and WOW, you are all awesome composers and know your stuff. Here is a sample of a mix I have worked on called Industrial Jungle using a bounch of EW files and sounds along with other files and sounds. Let me know what you think. I will post some other songs in the music forum once I have heard some of your remarks. All comments are always appreciated, both positive and negative. Thanks for listening and hope to learn lots.

Hey John...

Wow.... almost two weeks and nobody's commented yet?

Well, not totally my normal cup of tea, but I enjoyed your track. It's a mostly smooth groove, with a nice mixture of organic and industrial textures, as the title implies. Some of the transitions are abrupt, disarming the listener a little, but perhaps that's an intended effect. The bit at 1:30 where the string synth sound cuts out is an example. I also personally might like to hear the keys (e-piano?) a little more up front--maybe not the whole time, but perhaps standing up out of the mix at intervals, or otherwise something to change the dynamics, and keep the percussion from getting as little stale.

Just a couple thoughts. Fun stuff. Thank you for sharing your music.

Hello John,

If you're after big sounds you certainly came to the right world in. The fullness of EWQL sounds is definitely not preventing you from that goal....

Btw: Who's kissing who, and who's kissin mee? To find out should I really travel to Kissimmee??? Can you help mee?

Welcome by
