iTunes in 64 bit?

So I'm setting up my new XP 64 bit 'puter, and iTunes works, but it won't burn or import CDs. Has anyone else encountered this or know of a way around it? I can switch back to windows media player, I just prefer iTunes...

maybe I've answered my own question... I installed an earlier version and it seems to perform better (no more error messages), but it still won't recognize my CD drive. Grr...
