Anyone heard of her? She appears to be a great musician! She is from the Philipinnes...

Rachmaninov 3rd concerto for piano, 2nd movement!

(what happens at around 06:00 is simply remarkable).

Your thoughts?

That's one talented young pianist. She has an interesting party piece. :)

So she was playing for one minute in the dark. That's cool, but less sensational than it may appear. Actually, a player doesn't know a piece unless she can play it with eyes closed. So that lady only did her job, nothing more. What is so remarkable? Would you expected her to stop playing only because electricity went off? That would have been truly remarkable, only in a bad way.

On a side note, Edison's early recordings were better than this one, also one or two brass instruments were out of tune.

What I'd call remarkable would be a 6 years old child playing blindfolded, backwards, with hands crossed, a harpsichord with the keys covered. And his name should not be Wolfgang. :)

The sound quality is obviously compromised by the way it's been recorded. It's difficult to listen to this to be frank. Didn't that Australian lunatic at the RCM learn the Rach 3 blindfolded? I think you'll find legend has it that he did.
