Hi,

I'm new to the EastWest products, I just purchased QLPianos, Gypsy, MOR & Symphonic Choirs.

I actually dont have the HD space at the moment for the Piano library.

Any recommendations for my set-up (see below) from you knowledgeable folk out there to help me make an informed decision, would be appreciated.

I'm thinking about getting the "SeriTek/2SE4 4 port (http://firmtek.stores.yahoo.net/sata2se4.html)" & connecting eSATA drives to run the V.I. libraries, what'cha reckon?

Any issues I should be aware of?

Whats the best eSata external drive to run with OSX and the PLay Libraries?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

V

Apple G5 (PPC) 2.0Ghz (from 2003, yes the original first G5 still holding it together for me) 6GB Ram, Tiger 10.4.10, ProTools HD 7.4, 1 PCI slot remaing.

Thanks for the helpful link Jay, cheers.

Anybody experienced or tried and tested any eSATA 4 port PCI cards and eSATA connected hard drives with their Macs or PCs?

Do the East West libraries run well via this method?

This is the fastest drive out right now for PC:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136260&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Hard+Drives-_-Western+Digital-_-22136260
Its $1.00 per gigabyte. Pricey but worth it.

If your on a budget theres the 500GB OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro 'Quad Interface' 7200RPM drive.
