Does anyone know how to "replace region/waveform contents" in pro tools? Without affecting volumes/pans/automation.

Does anyone know how to "replace region/waveform contents" in pro tools? Without affecting volumes/pans/automation.

CAn you be more specific?

Unless you mean, you recorded a new part to replace the old part but want to keep the automation.

If that is the case, put the replacement part on a new track, goto preferences, turn off automation follows region, drag the new part to that track.

Don't forget to turn it back on if you use that feature.

It isn't in preferences.

Under Options, untick, Automation follows edit.
