Is there a way to adjust the default voice ranges in Wordbuilder to better fit a work's vocal requirements while still keeping a midi-note's real value? I find that the default range for Sopranos of A3-E5, for example, is less useful than that same 12th sounding down a fifth: D3-A4. I'd rather not score for "Sopranos in F" from my sequencer.

The "Default Voice Advanced Midi In" button on the "Voices Default Tab" dialog box is disabled in my setup (Sonar 4.0.3 as an FX) for some reason which I don't seem to be able to reverse. Even if it were enabled, it is not clear from the documentation whether this is just a device for saving memory or it is the correct way to accomplish what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

I asked the same question some time ago.
With the settings you can only lower de range, never increase it. I agree with you that a fifth lower would be much usefull, in fact the upper registers in the sopranos cannot sing consonants in a convincent way.
Nice to meet you

Thanks, Luis, for confirming that the range as a whole can at least be moved down. I see that I can get to that dialog when running Wordbuilder in stand-alone mode. Because this page is disabled when running from Sonar 4.0.3 however, I cannot get to the dialog box with the controls which adjust the range. Is it just not available when running as a DXi or is there some setting which enables the button leading to the desired dialog box?

Nice to meet you, too.
