Hello everyone,

I have an Edirol UA-25 USB interface, and it seems that ANY music I play through it, whether it be through my DAW, or even just an MP3, goes through these cyclic and predictable phases of stuttering.

When I record and this occurs, nothing is actually wrong with the recording. Just a playback thing.

CPU usage 3% max, processor set to favor background services. Drivers are updated.

Anyone ever experience anything similar?
On the same note, can anyone recommend a great, reliable interface for my upcoming Mac? (I only use a couple mics).

Thanks!

No takers on this? Come on, lots of experts here!

Let's re-word it:

1) Regarding piano keyboards, is there a latency advantage to plugging it into the MIDI port of a PCI/Firewire audio interface vs the computer's USB?

2) With my requirements, can anyone recommend a solid super-low latency audio interface?
- ONE phantom powered microphone
- ONE keyboard (USB/MIDI)
- ONE control surface (MIDI)
- Output to stereo, powered monitors

Will be purchasing a Mac Pro :)
