hi guys,

What would be better RME 96/32 or 96/52 for a gigastudio slave? I found both cards used for around 220.

Also is their an advantage having one or the other? and will these cards support GSIF 2.1 for gigastudio 4?

I have a HDSP 9632 and it works fine on GS4 which I have just installed. The driver is the same for the 9652 so should be good. I assume you mean the HDSP series. There is a digi 9652. I have a digi 9636 and this worked fine for GS3

I very much doubt the digi 96/36 would work.. it's an older card and I don't believe it even has drivers for 64-bit OSs.

Hi guys,

While you guys are on the HDSP 96/52, sorry for the interruption and hope you don't mind but I do have some questions:

It says on the manual that it requires a PCI rev. 2.1 busmaster slot, how do I know if my current motherboard is compliant of this requirement? I have a Gigabyte EP35-DS3P. It does have "rev. 2.1" after the model. Is that referring to the PCI?

Also, based on your experience, is there any requirements (not listed), or better PC config that will enable this card to perform better?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers,

KC
