Hi, how do you make a vowel sound like "air" as in "hair"?

Im helping a friend to figure out the word builder and we're stuck on this one.

I can get the "ohs" "oos" "ahs", just not; "airs" or "ehs"

TIA.

Scott.

Hi Scott ,

For "airs" try the Votox "eS" and for the "ehs" try "ES" (both upper case S )

let us know if that did the trick ;)

I also did the try

The WB translator suggest "erz" but sounds better "erS".
I did it with F Alto voices at D. but still de "r" sounded too much, so I reduced the length of the red bar corresponding to the "r" ( About 50%) and aligned the finnal "S" now sounds good for my taste, same for long and for short notes

Try my way and Luis way , but remember with word building it is not how the word is spelt
in English that is the criteria but how it is vocalised ....................

For example say the word "air" and while you are saying it examine how it is formed by the mouth and throat and listen to hear what letters in the spelling are actually present in the vocalisation .

For me when I say "air" the entire word comes from the back of my throat but if I say the letter "r" as in rabbit, it comes from the front of my mouth .

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that although there is an "r" in the spelling of "air" it
is not actually present in the vocalisation ;)

does that make sense
