Hi,
I remember reading something a while back about 'freezing' midi to audio so that you can compose a section then turn it into an audio phrase so that you can effectively use more instruments/instances of gold.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Jerry,
Some hosts have a freeze function built into them that you can apply to track as and when needed , there is also FX freeze >> http://www.fxfreeze.com/
but you can also simply do it the old fashiond way and just export a track to audio file and then import it back to an audio track and mute the original midi track .

I'm probably the only one here who uses Home Studio as their sequencer, but in that program there's a "bounce to tracks" option that will save a selected piece of midi information into wav format. After that's done, all you'd have to do is mute or delete the original track.

Thanks guys.
I guess it is pretty simple but it always takes some one to point it out!
Works brilliantly - thanks!!!
