Hello, all - I just got Silver, and I'd like to create a multi string ensemble using some of the instruments such as 11 violins, 10 cellos and 9 basses etc. I've read the rather short manual page dealing with multis and have not been able to make it work in either standalone or with Cubase SE. I put the instruments in the rack and save a new multi. It loads back in, all the instruments are there, but only one will sound at a time. Anybody have any thoughts? Also, the manual is confusing as it shows all the options up to Platinum and doesn't say what is not available in Silver. Maybe I can't use multis in Silver...or with Mac.
I realise I'm using an older, lower power system and that not all the options in the DAW world are open to me - I'm trying to get the most out of what I have. I've found forums to be a great help, thanks for any and all consideration.

Try to play around with the midi input in the kompakt player. It's in the "multi" section. it's the one with the "midi plug image" under the transpose function. Set it to "omni" (for each patch) if you want to play all the patches in the multi at the same time from a midi keyboard.

I know it's badly explained, but I hope it helps...

It works! It works! *does happy dance* - that's the kind of help you can't get from a manual! Thanks very much, Ranietz. It was well explained - took ten seconds - a great help - thanks again! - Wheels
