View Full Version : Logic Pro 7.1
Hi, I posted this in tech support but I probably should've started here. I am pretty sure I have everything routed correctly in Logic, but the wordbuilder just isn't behaving as it should with the Kompact player. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks,
Seth

Hy, I'm in the same problem. How can I do to configurate Logic pro 7.1 to work with wordbuilder?
as a standalone works fine but I can't make it work when I try with Logic. I read a lot of times the FAQ but I thing there wil be an error there, please help!

You have to use it in standalone mode due to problems in logic that we have no control over.

This may help also even if it is for Logic Express 7 (stand alone):

I just installed Symphonic Choirs and followed the instructions in the EWQLSC_FAQ.pdf but I can't get any response from the Symphonic Choirs instrument I set up in Logic Pro 7.1.
I found the instructions a bit hard to follow. On p. 5 of the FAQ, step 5 refers to the "Mixer environment." "Environment" in Logic is a special window, so does this mean the "Track Mixer" window. It has to, I think, because that is the only place one can find the channel strip necessary to carry out the step.
Step 6 on p. 5 was hard to figure out too. How does one "make sure Kompakt is set to receive on all channels." I looked everywhere in the options and preferences for both the standalone and plug-in versions of the Kompakt instrument and couldn't find anyplace where you can set these channels. I must be missing something. HELP!
Finally, at the end of step 6, the last sentence is unclear: "Make sure you do this on the environment page also." Do what? There are three things you have to do: draw a cable, connect the cable, and then make sure Kompakt is set to receive on all channels. Also, I suppose that environment page means the ever so intimidating Environment Window in Logic.
I hope my questions don't sound too picky. I am just stymied and don't know where to turn. Logic is very difficult to use to begin with. It is very archaic software (very un-Mac and un-OSX), and about as unintuitive as software gets. Unfortunately, this FAQ explanation, even with screen shots didn't get me up and running.
I'm suffering from something like coitus interruptus here because I was so hot to try out Word Builder and the EWQLSC voices after seeing all the demos and Word Builder tutorials on the EW site. Here I sit in utter frustration. Jesus, writing music turns out to be the easiest thing I do these days, but what backflips to get to that activity.
I read here that the Choirs problem is a Logic problem that EW can't do anything about. At this point, I'm ready to flush the $1000 smackers I laid out for Logic Pro down the toilet along with the software and manuals. Just in case, I have Cubase SX 3 but not Nuendo. Do I need both?
Very frustrated.
