View Full Version : UNKLE is Cool
Hey I just found this music video and loved it! I've never heard of these guys(UNKLE) before. The video is amazing, it gets the creative juices flow'n. I would love to get this in HI-DEF.
What I thought was interesting was the strings at the begining are somewhat treated, anyone know what they used? Goes to show you don't need perfectly realistic strings to get a cool sound. Hope the Classical purist in this forum don't hate me for saying that:)

Interesting video - pretty decent song. The strings in the beginning are probably synths - there are many excellent synthesizers out there that emulate classical orchestra strings. You can still hear that it's not the real thing, but somehow it works really well with pop music.
Decent "underground" band, heard their stuf long ago song called "What are you to me" mellow and simple, As for video it does look cool and very artistic, You may want to try to check Bjork as well, I was sort of shocked after I saw that but nothing wrong with it just an idea and artist him self.

One of the best video clips I've ever seen! (need to watch it to the end). And singing is Thom Yorke from Radiohead (music and direction are still UNKLE though).
Oh my...! That was so good. Thanks NIKOLAS! Hey I was wondering your insights to this film(or the Reign film) if you want;)
To me the video seemed to depict the inner pains from this outcast/loner character. The moving traffic or "society" ignoring him, caused his pain(visually depicted by him being hit by the cars). Finally someone notices him, but the damage has been done. Throwing off his coat seemed like a breaking point, and now he will not be ignored, now he is the one who will cause the damage. Sort of like a "columbine Effect".
Well I guess that is a dark interpretation . It could be something more optimistic, ethier way the video was amazing!
