View Full Version : No 'note off' message from DP

Hi, when I use a wordbuilder instrument in DP 4.6 and stop my performance mid-sample, the notes that were playing at the time continue to sound. They only turn off when I manually play them again in order to send a 'note off' message to the EWSC plugin.
Very annoying when trying to compose!
Also is there an AU version of Wordbuilder being planned? I'm already fed up with having to constantly switch between WB and DP in order to hear what I've typed!
Apart from these gripes...what a great sounding and remarkably flexible VI!
Thanks,
Croftish :)

Something might be screwy with your MIDI. I don't get any stuck notes like that with DP 4.6 and WordBuilder. If I play even for a few seconds, though, WordBuilder locks up and just shows the spinning ball of death when I switch to that application. It still plays notes and sends data just fine, but it takes 5 minutes of inactivity before the ball turns back into a cursor and lets me edit words.
I, too would like a WordBuilder plug-in, even a VST that would work with VSTWrapper.
As for switching between apps to hear, do you have "Patch Thru in Background" turned on in the preferences? It is under "MIDI Solo & Patch Thru" or under "Studio" and then "MIDI Patch thru..." from the drop-down menus. If that is on, you should be able to play and send MIDI no matter what application is active.
