hello . I am working on a project and have been programming the drums using the MOR drum kits when i realised that i am doing it the hard way . Is there a program or free website where i can get alot of different drum midi files to control MOR drum kits? i mean , professional control , where i can choose different high hat patterns, and different drum rolls and many different patters etc so i can program the drums this way. please help and thanks . for now , im gonna check the garageband loops and see how that soudsn, but i dont think they have that many options

For a bigger selection, google 'midi files'.
remember, majority of the songs out there have drums in them.
once you bring that midi file into your sequencer, delete all the tracks except for the drums.

as far as a program that generates drum tracks, I have Jammer and it does a decent job.
But I haven't come across a generator that would create drums based on a song you've already written.

I bought noatikl and I'm trying to see if that would come close.

Groove Monkey does a great job with their midi drum files.

thanks guys. i also found something called EZplayer pro that looks promising . i know how to find simple loops, but i mean more specifically a drum arranging plugin/program, where you tell it which pattern you want , and which drum fill here and there etc and with many to choose from aswell. i will check out these links . and if the software i have in mind doesnt exist, who has programming skills so we can make it happen ?

You can get EZplayer free and some free midi files, them audition your midi beats and fills- then just drag and drop onto your sequencing track. Simple.

is there a way to change the note positions on MOR ? for example, can i make the kick drum be the key of F per say, without transposing all of them? i want to be able to make each sound any key i want. is this possible ?

Hi pianokid. I raised a solution in these forums a couple of times before, but nobody seemed interested at the time. I have used Jamstix to trigger MOR, as you can set it up to create unique grooves, fills etc in lots of different styles, and even to mimic some real drummers. I asked the same questions about mapping in the Rayzoon forums (http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2791&highlight=mor) and that's how I knew Jamstix would work with MOR - you can adjust the mappings if there are any changes you want to make.
