Hi all,

I'm new to the forum as well as EastWest libraries. I just purchased the Silver Complete library, mostly to check it out and see if it would suit me since so many of my friends seem to be using the libraries. I was instantly impressed with the sounds even in this modest version. I am already planning on upgrading to the Gold version before the sale ends in a couple of weeks.

I do have the intent to eventually go the distance and purchase the Platinum version but realize that it will take a healthy investment in upgrading my equipment. I have no problem with running the system on multiple computers, however, my bank account may have a different opinion! :D

I'm curious as to how the multiple computers are slaved to the host. In the past I've had Giga Studio running on a separate computer with both the host and the Giga slave using 8-port midi routers. Getting digital audio out of the Giga machine was via SP/DIF connecting the slave out to the host in. That was fine for a single slave, but what about multiple machines??? How do you handle this?

I read that EastWest was planning on implementing a networking solution where everything was going through ethernet cables. Until that solution is available, how is everybody else doing it? I read somewhere on this forum that people have as many as 12 or 13 machines! That's impressive. It also sound expensive. And what about the noise coming from all those machines? How are you sound-proofing the equipment?

Thanks in advance to all that can answer my questions.

Best regards,
Steve

Armando,

Thanks for the very helpful links. The FX-Teleport software is very impressive. In fact, it seems like it must be magic! I'm planning on trying it out. I have an extra computer (I previously used it as my Giga machine) that I'll be trying to configure as my Gold box.

Thanks again.
