I found that there is a new fantastic song demo addition to Stormdrum 2 product page.

It is titled After the Fall. It's incredible! But I was wondering about the vocalist; Voices of Passion or a live singer? The vocalist is very good; I don't actually use VOP, that's why I was wondering.

Definitively not VOP. Live singer.

Nick, was that demo composed for the sake of a demo or was it for a trailer?

I suspected live vocalist, but there were phrases that sounded like VoP to me. :) Nice!

I suspect, that this is actually, the same singer, that has been recorded for VOP (the welsh one).

Thanks! It's trailer music and the singer is the Bulgarian singer from VOP. I'm actually trying to figure out what I need to sample so I could create an instrument that would create fluid performances like that.

That's what I'd buy in an instance!
But I guess, the problem is, this is a solo instrument, which is always difficult to simulate. Even bigger difficulty is, that it's a human voice - that we all know and recognize better than any other instrument. It's not easy to fool human ear, that's been trained by the evolution, to recognize and hear all the subtleties of other human's speach and singing.
Good luck. Crossing my fingers. An instrument like that would be a masterpiece. Pure art!
(and I was pretty close on the VOP singer :D)

Nick - what trailers has it been used in?
I love how the orchestral chords are not very complex but still beautiful and the vocalist adds an enormous amount.

It's a new track that will show up on some Two Steps From Hell album. It was not written for anything in particular.

It sounds a LOT like one of the singers of Celtic Women, but don't know which one. Listen to The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun, and then the first phrase that is sung.
After the fall is indeed a great piece and I listened to it it a lot. Actually inspired me and my brother when we were writing a script for an animationfilm!
