Greetings to everyone,

I'm wondering: did anyone succesfully connect Logic 7.1 to WordBuilder while having Kompakt
as an instrument INSIDE Logic ?

If yes, did the bouncing process work normally ?

if NO how is one to obtain an AUDIO FILE if Kompakt is not inside Logic ?

in other words: do we have to "TAPE" the output of Kompakt instead of a bounce ?

that would be an extra step that would almost discourage me from buying
Symphonic Choirs...which i want so much!

And that's unfortunate because it is a really promising product... can anyone CONFIRM
me that it really works well with Logic 7 in the way i hope ?

Thank you for your time, reading this.

In the expectative,

I have not been able to bounce anything when using Logic express 7 stand alone mode either. It just what "stand alone" means". How Logic could know what is happening "elsewhere"! LG

Thanks for your insight lgrohn...

So, (sorry if don't understand) then the Symphonic Choirs/Wordbuilder FAQ PDF document
is not "reliable" since it graphically shows that Kompakt is INSIDE Logic Pro as an ordinary
audio instrument (and thus should permit a bounce within Logic Pro 7) ?

Or Is the impossibility of bouncing within Logic a limit of Logic Express ?

In other words and to be very clear:

It is NOT possible with Logic Audio 7, whether the Pro or Express version, and in conjunction with
Kompakt and Wordbuilder, to use the BOUNCE function IN the sequencer to render the audio file result
of the composition.

This means that one HAS to "tape" the audio output of KOMPAKT in order to render
the compositions audio file.

Do i understand ?

Thank you so much for your patience ,

I haven't read the .pdf, but for me, while using Logic Pro 7.1 (and Wordbuilder running and connected via WB Virtual Cables)... the only way to obtain a bounce with WB input is to bounce in "Real Time" instead of "Off Line."

At first, I was concerned, my rig has 2.5 GB of Ram, and was slightly chugging/clipping some of the audio output during playback, but the realtime bounce was clean. "Off Line" bounce will produce nothing but silence.

Maybe this is a mute point, or covered already in the pdf, but hope that helps.

Are you sure that you have "stand alone"? For me off line doesn't help at all when stand alone (meaning that one must start SC outside Logic.
