View Full Version : Using "start from cursor" (F4 key) in WB with Sonar

Small but frustrating problem.

I'm using Sonar5, but I'm guessing it's going to be the same for Sonar4 users. I've managed to get SC to work with Sonar (which, for me, is a good start!). However, I can't get WordBuilder to start in the same place as Sonar so I've got to keep listening to everything from the beginning which is a little frustrating. What I've tried is:

- Press F4 whilst in WB
- Click to Sonar (where the cursor is ready to go - part way through the piece)
- Press 'start' (spacebar) and Sonar starts from where I expect but WB starts from the beginning

Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any help gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Kevin,

After using the learning mechanism (even in "draw only"), you can jump to any place and WB will play from that point.

Without using the learning mechanism there isn't a way to do it (the plugin architecture doesn't have the flexibility to read the whole track).

Hope that helps,

- Doug

Doug,

Once again, many thanks - I'll learn about the 'Learn' function and use that. Thanks also for the speedy response.

Kind regards.
