I get this in both Pro Tools LE 6.9.2cs4 (RTAS plug-in) and Digital Performer 4.12:

"The outputs configured in the loaded multi differ from the current output configuration!"

This is without Word|Builder running. It does not occur if I load a single consonant voice -- only on the Multis. I look at the outputs in Symphonic Choirs and they are indeed set to 1/2. Any ideas?

Hi bloombaber ,

Ignore the message , it is only happening because the multies were created on a machine that had a sound card that has more outputs than the card you have , the multies will work just fine but if you want to get rid of the message just load the multi and save it again and when you open it next time it will be gone .

BTW I get the message to with Audiophile 24/96 card ;)

Eventhough u were getting the message were u still getting sound? I've got the same message using Cubase SX except i'm not getting any sound with the multis...instruments are fine. I resaved the multi, the message doesn't come up...but there is still no sound...My next solution is to kick it...then maybe a quick punch...Is there a better solution?

If you are loading a WB Multi, you will not get stound unless you are using Choirs with WordBuilder.

If I understand correctly pre-set multis are meant to be used only through WB, and it's true and normal you don't get any sound out.

However, is there any reason one gets sound out when any Basses multis are loaded?
I tested loading all multis and one gets sound out with Basses (and Solos which I understand is expected).

many thanks

 I was never able to get a sound using the set-up I detailed above (ProTools 6, SC as RTAS plug-in). The output of my MIDI track was routed to an IAC bus, and that bus was set as the input of WordBuilder, and the output of WordBuilder was sent via (if I recall correctly) "Wordbuilder Virtual" to the RTAS plug-in.

Seems on paper like it should have worked, but no go.

I was on deadline and had to get work done quickly, so I ran SC as a stand-alone, sent the audio output of SC out of my Powerbook's headphone out and into my Mbox, re-recording it into ProTools.

Now I'm wondering if ProTools 7's RTAS enhancements will make it possible to do this internally (as I had originally set up), or if Doug has any idea what was going on or what to do about it...
