OK. So I have watched all nine video tutorials and read the manual (more than once), but I still can't figure out how to hook up the music and words in WB. I gave up trying to get Logic to furnish the sounds and connected WB directly to my MIDI controller keyboard. I did get sound, but I'm not sure where it is coming from, whether the instrument is a multi or what. In WB, I selected voice type "sopranos," but I'm not sure which actual instrument this is calling up. I opened up the Kompakt player and selected a soprano multi, but I couldn't get sound from the virtual keyboard in the player so I gave up on that one.

Anyway, I typed in VOTOX "amen" in the WB window and played B-flat and A on my keyboard. There are several octaves of voices up and down the keyboard, each one with a different vowel sound, but no amen comes through.

What am I doing wrong? The videos look so easy, but nowhere in the manuals or the videos can I find an A-B-C description of how to do what I'm trying to do, which is pretty elementary: play two notes with amen as the text. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm losing my mind. Maybe I should wait until East-West develops this software a little further before I continue. Are other users having as much trouble as I am?

Im not logic user but the ABC is the same for every sequencer.
First of all, if you want to play SC from the sequencer, forget the keyboard for the moment.

Open the Multi (Sopranos) and then load in the midi FX the WB plugin. Make sure that you select also Sopranos in the combo box.

Then go to the sequencer and write in the score editor, two notes C, Bb or whatever you like.
Then go to WB votox and write (without the quotes) "a men". do not forget the space, this will tell WB to start another note ok ?
The next is to start playing the sequencer, you will see that the first note C sings "a" and the second note Bb sings "men".

It has to work unless you have problems with the configuration of your sequencer.
Hope it helps

Luis, thanks so much for your reply. I added a space between the syllables, rechecked my Logic configuration and now IT'S WORKING! Amazing that such a simple space can make such a difference. Now it's onward and upward.

I was dickering around with the notes in Logic, changing the length, pitch, etc., and suddenly my playback was "men a" instead of "a men." I'm not sure how this happened, but I solved it by inserting a space before the "a" in WP. Now it works fine again. Next step is to add altos, tenors, and basses. I'll keep you posted on how I fare.

Bill,
SC and WB is not an easy instrument. Donīt go too quick, start with short pieces and easy melodic lines whith only one choir. You will find difficulties that can be solved easily. Whait a while until you can implement a full choir. Itīs my advice.
In short I should like to hear pieces from you choirs
