Could the ultra-smooth sound be anything to do with the way it was recorded, I wonder?

Sounds muted to me, but that quality could be coming from the cellos being way up there. My initial thought was no, but I dont think it was correct.

God's = God is/has
Gods' = Gods' (Godses)
