Hi Marty,

I've got a multiple computer setup, but of course all comes into the DAW and my work goes out one stereo buss to the powered monitors. To keep the signal as pure as possible, I have been using the RME Fireface 800 volume control, and keeping my sequencer master volume at nominal. In running -35db on average at the RME, I know I am sacrificing, but you really can't tell too much at all, the sound is very very good. BUT I don't want to depend on a mouse for volume control.......... I really want something external to grab.

What do you use for master volume? I'm thinking passive step attenuator such as Gold Point, or Coleman. I want my signal as clean as possible with full stereo field intact.

Thanks,
-Paul

Presonus makes a Master Control, Mackie Makes a Big knob, something like that. A monitor control system. There are other benefits,
