Hey David - how much input do you and Thomas give each other? Any or none at all?

Most film composers don't speak to each other. As I have stated on other posts, it's very hard to talk about music even with other musicians. I can count on one hand the number of times I have spoken to another film composer about his work, or process

I agree. It was a little bit of a tongue in cheek question as I'm sure you were aware.

What's your keyboard playing skills like David? When you're writing - do you think keyboard; do you still grab the violin - or straight from your head? Or a bit of all three?

I mostly compose on the piano - a bit with violin and a bit with "head" but mostly banging on the keyboard with the samples while making "mock ups"

OK. Very interesting.

So let's say you're not doing any film composing at any given point - but you want to play some music to yourself for relaxation purposes (it's a given that film work is stressful) - what do you like to play?
