Hi David, Big thanks for doing this! Some BIG questions here (feel free to ignore the second one): Of all the films you have scored, what was your favorite project to work on? Is it ever a problem for you, that you are known as the best "comedy" composer out there? I know I'm not the only one who would like to see you score more films like "The Spirit".

Serenity was such a great movie and ought to have been seen by many more people. The music was very important for that movie. I've never been disappointed by a David Newman score.

Thanks for all the kind words. I loved both THE SPIRIT and SERENITY. Great projects with very human, intelligent stories. Movies I would like to see. I used to go to movies every weekend when i was growing up in LA. Now i almost never go. shame...
