Hello from Finland John!=)

First I have to say that the Bourne-movie soundtracks are in my MP3 player permanently and it's great to hear your style imitated in other movies as well.

1. When you are writing music for movies do you start by writing different themes for entire movie (main-, love-, sad theme etc) or go ahead scene by scene?

2. Do you visit the movie sets and if so do you get musical ideas from there for your ongoing project?

Thank you very much!!

Always start with themes, motifs, textures etc ... some are written to a scene and some are not.

I try not to visit the set as it's a bit like watching paint dry. My inspiration comes from the script, the story, the film, the film maker and the deadline.
