Hi John:
First of all thanks for taking the time to do this Q&A. Much appreciated by everyone around here.
Question: in a YouTube video about you scoring The Bourne Ultimatum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGCSQYYZA5Y), about half way down (2:41 and ff), you talk about the music where Jason is mourning over the loss of his girlfriend - and which is then merged with the action oriented drum beats, alluding to his state of mind which is slowly changing from mourning to taking action.
That was a pretty clever thing - do you typically suggest something like this to the director / music supervisor, or it is something you'd jointly come up with during the spotting session? How did that work here?
Thanks!
