As I spent several years in Paris writing music for French advertising, I feel it would be wonderful to return to make a movie score. However, so far the only things I have been asked to do are more "Bourne" style action films. I would say that as a fan of French music, I also am a fan of French film scores.... Maurice Jarre, Alexandre Desplat, Jacques Ibert, and Jean-Claude Petit have written some of the greatest music, never mind that it was for films. Camille Saint-Saëns wrote the very first film score and Eric Serra wrote one of my favorites of all time (The Fifth Element). Maybe a French film maker will one day think of me for something unusual.
