Hello Mr. Powell,

Thanks for taking the time to informatively answer our questions--hopefully this one will give you a break from the more didactic discourse.

Assuming you are a student of both film and music, I have two slightly odd questions, but not really so odd to me, I suppose, because I think that we are all still, no matter how experienced, dreamers.

1) If you could collaborate with any film maker, living or dead, who would it be and why?

2) And on that film, if you could collaborate with any other composer on the score, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Thanks for your time, Mr. Powell.

If you could collaborate with any film maker, living or dead, who would it be and why? Stanley Kubrick - although I think it might kill me. But he was a genius and geniuses are worth being near even if it's dangerous. All the living ones know who they are and I won't say who as most already work with a composer and that would be rude.
Other composers to collaborate would be Puccini - imagine if he had written a filmscore! I would have happily made the tea for those sessions.

Composers who are alive would include Timbaland, Pharrell, Michael Torke, John Barry, Bjork, Burt Bacharach - the list goes on and on.
