Hello Mr. Powell. Thank you very much for taking the time to come on here and answer our questions. We are very honored for this opportunity and your generosity.

I do hope to and will work toward scoring big-name films or video games, though I'm unsure if I prefer games or film.

However, one thing that concerns me is how busy such jobs may be, and if I'll have time for my own works. I get lots of ideas for new pieces, albums, etc., of my own, and I'd want to have some time so I can work on those too.

So, do you come up with your own, non-commissioned compositions as well? How much time do you have for them during a gig, or is it all work? What about between gigs, do you tend to finish one up and quickly get called or find another, or do you manage a little break period before scoring another movie?

Thanks, any insight from you would be appreciated. :)

I'm lucky to have too much work so much of my time is spent trying to catch up on things I should have finished. Life is a constantly shifting set of priorities. Either by design or by fate, I will hopefully have some time to start writing concert works again.
