I've just started the first of my four year undergraduate course at the royal college of music and was wondering what sort of schools or conservatories there are if i wanted to get into film composition once i graduate.

Which are the most prestige schools? I know RCM where i am now does a very good postgraduate course for screen composition but i just want to know what else there is.

Also, I read about some composers (Hans Zimmer, David Newman) who allow students to work for them..How would one get into this fantastic position? :D

I've got my eye on Bristol University at the moment: http://www.bris.ac.uk/music/prospective/prospg/maftv.html
I had a look at the NFTS: http://www.nftsfilm-tv.ac.uk/courses/composing-for-film-and-television but I went for an interview and it wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm in the same position as you really, except I've just finished a 4-year undergraduate degree from a London conservatoire, not just started :)
