Is anyone familiar with the French composer Henri Dallier? I know he's pretty obscure but were doing this steam punk fantasy action/advent film in a couple of months and lots of discussion has been centering on approach and I thought of Henri Dallier's 1st Symphony but trouble is I can't find a recording anywhere. I Googled around a bit but nothing.
Anyone have the first Symphony or know if it's been performed by any group anywhere?
Thanks in advance for any insight.

Here's a short bio on Henri Dallier:
http://www.musimem.com/prix-rome-1870-1879.htm (in French, scroll down). Apparently he was quite an accomplished organist (if not a virtuoso) and he has written a number of pieces for organ and chamber ensembles (oboe & piano etc) but I can't see any reference to a first symphony.
IMSLP has free downloads of his 1st symphony in f minor however: http://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.1,_Op.50_(Dallier,_Henri) (public domain now) plus references to recordings available through amazon (not the first symphony though).
You can make your own recording - copy all the notes into Sibelius (or Notion for that matter) and off you go! That should keep you off the streets for the next couple of months ... ;)
Good luck!

Lol! Thanks Peter! I was looking for a recording so I DIDNT have to do that! :). Yes I downloaded all 4 of the IMSLPs last night. I did notice that someone on the Notion3 site who managed to do the first minute! Well that allows me back onto the streets for a minute or so!
