I need help w/ a French Horn artic in Gold

I'm uisng the original Gold

Over a rhythmic brass section, I have a strong, full 6 French Horn line, where most of the notes are accented. However, when it goes high I'd like to be able to make the notes, which are half-steps at those points, to become slurred instead of accented. I've tried just about every artic but I'm not quite getting it -- if I reduce the velocity of the notes I want to sound slurred, that works, but then the volume attenuates to much and the line is lost in the mix

Hi Doug,

Would it be possible for you to automate that channel in you sequencer so that you turn up the volume of the horns where you have reduced the velocity.

or,

Could you use the Expression controller to balance the volume of the horns across the whole phrase i.e. Less at the beginning and more where you have lowered the velocities.
