Hi...I bought the Gold a while back, and am wondering if there are any multis that people have done and posted anywhere? My multi folder shipped empty, I assume that was purposeful, would love the benefit of someone else's programming experience. Thanks!

The reason there are no preset multis is because the Gold orchestra is
such a large pallote, and there are endless combonations of instruments,
styles and articulations.

Multi's are a fairly personal thing. It depends on countless variables.
What piece? What key? What style? You may use only one section.
You may use all sections. You may use only 2 solo instruments.
Too hard to pin down.
Luckily, it only takes a few minutes to load up a bunch of patches and just
start playing around. Take time to get to know the library, by just playing
patches live. Take note of articulations, and where they might sound good or bad
in certain styles/pieces.
Then it will be more obvious as to what your basic multi will entail.

ToodK...thanks for your reply.

Ah, time. If we only had more of it. Time, actually, was precisely what I was hoping to save, in trying some pre-done steups, and then simply replacing here and there. You're right, it's a vast library.
I guess it was just a wistful dream...

Ah yes, i know what you mean.

Even when you manage to save a few templates, if they are big, it takes
a while to even get it loaded up.

I meant to also add, that depending on how much ram you have, will limit
you to multis that do not exceed that limit.

A word of advice about Gold would be,,, Use the Keyswitches!

I need to learn how to make my own keyswitch patches come to think of it.

Back to work!

You might be making this harder than it is...listen to the piece to which you will be overdubbing (or that you're composing from scratch) and choose what you think would make a nice addition/beginning. Use that instrument/section somewhat sparingly as a starting point, so there's sonic space for more elements.

After getting something you like with the first instrument, load something into the next channel and repeat the process. There really is no such thing as someone else's template that is likely to work for you... every situation is different.

Jump in there and try some things!

@ SiFi Excellent link thank you!!

Why are people so reluctant to discuss ideas for multis? We talk about combos in orchestration and there are thousands of permutations in that. I'm not concerned that if someone uses a multi I use allot, there gonna sound like me. There are far to manny subtle nuances to all of our uniqueness for that to be so. Having said that, I don't even see an objection to someone sounding a bit like me full stop. I would be only too honored that they might want to. As for the As to the argument for not everyones systems being powerful enough... well plenty of you share similar specs and those of us who don't have such powerful computers need to be aware that they might not be able to handle it. Besides, there are ways around it. Anyway it's the creative idea that interests me. Well sorry, maybe this was a tad of an over reaction. Feel free to put me in my place. Just my thoughts.
