View Full Version : Piano String Library?

I'm wondering if a library exists of the full range of sustained piano strings -- plucked with fingertips and fingernails, struck with mallets and sticks, etc. I'm not talking about prepared piano (John Cage), or piano string effects (Total Piano). I'm talking about a sort of super harp/dulcimer/zither type of instrument, played with the sustain pedal down for long, diatonically-pitched notes.

I made my own version this a couple of years ago, and it is quite interesting and useful. However, the recording and programming techniques I used are not up to today's standards. Just curious if anyone else had this idea and made a product out of it.
