Those people have missed the opportunity of starting an inspiring urban legend, for getting their forgettable names into one day's headlines. Lame. Where is the spirit of those uncredited French cathedral designers in the "dark" middle ages? Culturally, we're heading back to the stone age, where the boar killer gets the tribe's cheers. A digital stone age, picture that.

The kid who put it up there took it from his grandmother's home, torched it, and then with the help of his father and a couple of friends put it on the sand beach.
'Nicholas Harrington, 16, told CNN affiliate WPLG that he was behind the mystery, with a little help from his friends.
"I liked the idea of an anonymous piano out there, no explanation to it," he said, adding that he viewed it as art for a portfolio in a future college application. '
Art, huh? -- well ok.
Next thing he is probably going to claim freedom of speech if the authorities try to force him to remove the piano. Who knows, they might litigate this all the way up to the Supreme Court (they've done that for wearing T shirts in court, plastic reindeers and license plates so who knows).

From absolute genius to completely idiotic:
One winter day, the world wakes up in the morning and look, out of the blue, in the middle of nowhere, there's a piano out there surrounded by seawater. Everybody's wondering: how, why, who, what does it mean, etc. Then a kid pops up and squeaks: "I did it, I though it might look cool on my college portfolio."
True story.
Now, what's the next idiot up to?

The Miami Herald reports Yeager is a "well known prankster" who "years ago painted himself black and convinced many in the media he was Jimi Hendrix's long-lost son."
What a dick.

Here's another one:
Harrington told WPLG that about 100 people attended a party at his home on New Years' Eve. Using sparklers, he, along with friends and family, set the piano on fire, he said. "It looked great. We took some great photos of it," Harrington said, adding that he's been trying to "build up my art portfolio."

He was way too quick to come out and reveal that it was him. But I guess being a high school kid, he really craved everyone knowing who he was. Now it's no fun anymore.

Yeah so true....
In any event....thanks Paul for solving the mystery even if it was a let down :)
Maybe we can start up an urban legend of our own one of these days...
Strategically place a bunch of East West boxes somewhere perplexing...
