I'm looking for a bass package which has sounds more finger played rather than played with a bass pick.

I find most of MoR's basses too much jangly, like when everytime the pick hits the string it sounds too treblish. I want more of a moody sound, like a "normal" bass, more pop oriented rather than rock.

And of course, the more articulations it has, the better for the most "human" performance possible.

Thanks!

I have my own bass but most of the time i actually just use the basses found in Goliath.
I think i know what you mean about the sound..Do you play the "bass" on a keyboard or insert the notes note by note?
I think it helps if you turn down the velocities in Play (Vel.max) and also by tweaking the filter (resonance and frequency).
Im sure Mor2 and other vst's has more articulations, but for my own personal needs Goliath seems to cover it.

Thanks Morten! Yes, I trigger them playing the keyboard. I'll give it a try playin with the velocity knobs as you mentioned. I was looking for a sound similar to the one you get with the Specter in MoR when using the articulation of the 2nd keyswitch. Also the Lakland (I don't remember if this is how it is spelled) basses in Goliath sound very similar to what I'm looking for.

i'd have to say that Spectrasonics Trillian is among the best bass libs available. Plenty of fingered samples.

Also check out Scarbee's bass stuff. MM bass and Pre Bass. Both amazing.

Love Trilian. Especially the upright. The electrics are Spectratacular too.

I think Trilian is to big and slow to load. Trilogy is enough for me.

Ok so i got MOR 2 a few days ago and i love the basses there. :)
I think hese basses works well for pop, rock, jazz and metal.
I will probably not be using the basses found in Goliah again. :p
