I'm looking for something in the sub-$300 range to spend my expiring points on.

Can we spend points on something like Liquid Sax, which

1. Is a preorder and
2. Shows a sale price?

Will either of those two conditions invalidate points use?

Thanks,
Eric

Little over two thousand points to spend and nothing I want. Not really anyway. I mean, there's stuff that's nice, but nothing I'm excited about.
We can't use points to buy discounted pre-order type stuff, right?

You can use your points as long as you don't have to enter another code to get the discount/preorder sale price. I used mine on a DFHS C&V preorder, so I know it works for that.

So if I would like to purchase the GOLD upgrade adding my $100 points I can't?
Is this right?

That's correct. You have to enter the "EWPRO" discount code which prevents you from using your points. The Liquid Sax pre-order, on the other hand, is a plain sale price (no code), so it could be ordered at the discounted price with points. The latter was/is the same situation as the DFHS C&V sale.

The conflict and confustion that the "one discount only" rule created is why they're doing away with the points. Personally, I prefer these nice, big(ger) offers they've been running recently instead. :)

Sorry I make an error:
So if I would like to purchase the GOLD cross-grade adding my $100 points can I?
Thank you very much, I am sorry.
Roberto :)

Thanks Scarr - that's exactly what I wanted to know.

I finally found a link to the crossgrade and I think you should be able to use your points on that. That being said, I'm not sure how they handle the crossgrades. (Since it's already a discount and I assume you have to prove ownership of something else. Then again, the crossgrade is a "fixed" price.) If you don't hear anything official, I'd just go for it, but it would be best if you got an official response (either via email or from Doug here).

How do you obtain points?

You don't any more. ;) They're ending the system.

What is a "Crossgrade" ?

Isn't a crossgrade usually if you own a competing product? In which case the special price is meant to entice you to CROSS over from the 'dark side' and try the new product instead.

that's mean I can buy it without having a eastwest product? ( i want Orchestral Gold for the crossgrade price)

Do you own a competing product that East West acknowledges as valid for a crossgrade?

Ben en fait je sais po j'ai pas trouvé de liste de logiciel reconnus par eastwest pour bénéficier du crossgrad

I do not know I did not find of list of software recognized by eastwest to profit from the crossgrade...

May I suggest that you just email Doug directly and ask the question. "Can I use my points to buy Gold at the crossgrade price?"

As it has been from the start of the points program, you cannot use points with any other promotion.

We advised our customers 3 months ago when we ended the points program, that they had to use their remaining points by May 31, and we removed the 1000 point restriction to allow them to use them all.

After May 31 there will be no points in our system, so please use them while you can.
