Hi,
I don't think I'm too stupid(!), but I can't get Sam's ISO to work for me.

I have followed everything, but obviously I'm missing something.

When I load a multi, a dialogue opens that says: "The outputs configured in the loaded multi differ from the current output configuration!"

Now, I don't know what this is referring to; My transport bar is showing midi activity in and out, there is also midi activity showing up on the midi track, in WB, there is (although it does seem sporadic) activity showing.

I'm getting confused here, I'm assuming that I shouldn't have to change any of the midi settings on the instrument track, within WB, on the midi track and on the Kompakt instrument itself; am I right?

The template shows channel 16 on all instances of WB and on all the midi tracks in Logic; do I have to change anything on the plugin itself when I load a multi? (I HAVE made sure that I'm loading the correct type of choir, and I know about ranges etc....)

So, is my problem a midi one, or an audio one? I use Direct TDM rather than Coreaudio, so when I loaded the SATB ISO, I changed the drivers and reinstanciated each instance of Kompakt; I'm thinking that in doing this, I've missed a setting WITHIN the plugin? remember, I never got to see the "coreaudio" instances that were preloaded......

Any help would be VERY gratefully received, I'm really scratching my head here! I'm sure that it's something really simple that I've missed, and that I'll feel like a complete idiot when someone (hopefully!) sorts me out, but PLEASE!!

Many thanks,
Paul

..... and YES I have typed words, and sopranos in WB matches the sopranos midi channel in Logic etc.
I have read the readme, and Sam's reply to a previous post very carefully in regard to this!

Also, I've looked at the advanced midi out in WB, and the Midi Out is greyed out??
I DID have this working a while ago, with just one choir open in Logic (by following the faqs), but since I tried to use the SATB song, I seem to have wrecked everything, and I'm getting very confused with the settings I should have!

Sorry, me again!
I've just followed the FAQs again, and set up one instance (I did sopranos) of Kompakt, and it works; so obviously I have audio and midi routing set up ok; so how is it that I have the problem with the SATB iso?....
can't figure it out!

BTW, the Midi out boxes in WB ARE greyed out, so I assume that this is meant to be the case (?)
in the main WB window, the midi info on the top left says "custom"....
it does works, but I would like to be able to use the 4 choirs......

Really hoping for some feedback on this..
Cheers,
Paul

The outputs message is explained in the FAQ (http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=41&id=43&artlang=en).

Please leave all the MIDI channels exactly how they are in Logic.

I don't believe that your MIDI out boxes should be greyed out if WordBuilder is loading my .cho file correctly. When they are grey, it means that the ports are not all set to the same thing, which shouldn't happen unless the .cho file you are using has been modified. This can also occur if your MIDI setup changes constantly (which could be the case if you have your TDM system switching on and off, or if you reconfigure often). Please download the .zip file again, open up the .cho file, and look at Sopranos MIDI out. If it's greyed out, click on Advanced MIDI out. You should see Virtual WordBuilder 1 for every dropdown menu, including bypass and other traffic. If you don't, please contact techsupport@eastwestsounds.com.

If you want to set up the choir manually in WordBuilder for my template Sopranos:

Voice Type: Sopranos
Midi In: VWB 1 channel 16
Midi Out: VWB 1 channel 1

Use VWB 2, 3, and 4 for Altos, Tenors, and Basses, respectively.

If you try this and it STILL doesn't work, post or PM me, and I'll try to make a really super special template for you that may address the issue. My best guess is that it happens because something about the order or nature of MIDI ports changes when you open Logic, because it initializes your TDM system.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the kind offer (great support!),
I'm going to try your suggestions....
I'm thinking that, when I change from Coreaudio to Direct TDM, WB is getting confused somehow.
I'll PM you and take you up on your kind offer of a special template if I have no joy!!
