This is Gold, and a Percusive Adventures 2 LE loop.

Fairly typical stuff. But this is the kind of thing that i feel like
Gold was made for. :) Its a natural for this stuff. IT ROCKS!!!

Gotta love that kick ass Brass! Love those long Rips!! :D

There are some staccato brass repetitions at the end, and they're really
good considering Gold doesnt utilize a "performance tool" of any kind.
Fast reps are tough to do with most libraries.

I first called it Junglegroove, but now calling it "on the hunt". :)

Todd, You're right the brass rocks. I didn't find this piece all that typical at all. Great Huge sound, The title is perfect.

Enchanting. I was wondering if you'd share what kinds of processing/mastering tools you used in this (if any). Did you edit the tails by any chance? It seems to stand out and sound more in your face than other Gold demos I hear. Cool!

What a fun/kick ass piece!

What is this typical too? Sounds pretty unique to me!

Hmmm, :) LOL

Well, im glad to hear you all dont think its so typical. :D

I guess i've witnessed a few too many posts from people seeming to
be a bit down on the "bang and smash/ Hollywood" stuff. :p
Ya know, the bigger bombastic elements.

But then again, to me, this is what Gold really shines on imo.

People say that style is "easier" to execute. I disagree. I think it
takes just as much thought and creativity as anything else.
I love this stuff. I do some military type/ first person shooter gaming
on my Xbox, and i love these types of tracks that really set the tone of the game.

Anyway, Gold rocks of course. To answer the mix question, about the big/bigger
sound.

Well, everything "sound" wise is out of the box. In this piece, i was finding that
i was getting bigger tails in the mid high velocities, around 80 percent, so
i found that keeping the velocities hot, and using automation to tame the volume
worked really well.
Gold can sound relatively dry in the very low velocities, at least on certain instruments.

Anyway, there's no EQ on anything, just the Waves L2 ultramaximizer, wich if
somebody doesnt know, is just a Bus limiter. I use more L2 on a track like this
because it seems to fit the "loud" nature of the piece.
So, thats what i'm using to pump the overall level.

As i've heard many say, and truly believe, "Trust the out of the box sounds in Gold"
There you have it..

Thanks ya'll!!! Rock on!

THANK YOU for saying that! I agree it is one of the harder styles to execute, and I completely understand how you could think a bombastic Hollywood piece would get called "typical" on the forum. I don't know why so many people are against the big Hollywood sound. I love this piece and think it is very original and sounds superb. I bet when you were adding the FH long rips you were thinking something like, "the people on the forum will think this is cliche" The bottom line most of us are writing demos that are suppose to excite producers/directors/clients. I think the feedback we get here is extremely helpful as peers helping us develope musically, but we shouldn't feel like we are actually writing our music FOR the forum. Sorry I went off on that a little. :D
You are obviously a great composer, and this one I will be keeping on my drive for listening!!

Interesting! I just saw that move on cable not too long ago.

Maybe that one slipped into my subconcious. :D

I really like that kind of stuff. Nick and Doug are absolute geniuses with
that genre. (and many others of course)
Wich of course is why Gold is what it is.

Its wonderful stuff.... Perc Ad really rocks 2.

Thanks for the good comments. Very encouraging! :)
